Who we are

Harald (1976) works full-time as a manager at a construction company and was born and raised in Enschede. Ellen (1982) works part-time as a primary school teacher, was born in Rijssen and has lived in Enschede since 1994.

We live on the edge of the beautiful village of Lonneker, together with our three children Noa (2008), Steijn (2011) and Tess (2013), our dog Nouckie and two cats Woezel and Pip. Our farmhouse has been in Harald's family for generations. We are lucky that we can live here with great pleasure from 2016.

Campers and overlanders

In addition to the campers, we also focus on the overlanders. You can think of travelers who are on the road for a long time, often off-road and travelers who cross international borders. Since we also like to make off-road trips in our Land Rover, we have come to the Overland and Camperplaats. When we are traveling (wild) we like to camp in the most beautiful places in nature.

For example, we have already made a fantastic tour in Iceland and we have explored the desert in Morocco. We have also been to the Italian/French Alps, Sweden and Norway. We ourselves have a great preference for wild camping and small-scale campsites. In certain areas we missed small-scale campsites / motorhome pitches. So we came up with the idea to start a motorhome next to our house. We would like to share our beautiful place, in a friendly, small-scale and cozy way, with people who appreciate and respect it.

After the idea arose to start an overland and camper place, we started applying for a permit in March 2018. The municipality of Enschede responded enthusiastically. After we went to see together with the municipality where the camper place could be realized, the permit was granted more than a year later. With the small-scale idea and space in mind, we ended up with six spacious places and one Stop and Go place. With a few more places in the future. The motorhome pitch is laid out in our free evenings, weekends and holidays and made to fit the environment, of course with respect for nature.
